use prescription medication. It tries to identify what body system or organ
is not doing its job correctly and then help support and correct it with the
use of natural supplements and specific diet changes. Getting a thorough blood
test panel along with your history of symptoms can tell us a lot about what is
not working correctly inside your body and, therefore, what we can do about it.
Remember biology and chemistry class in high school or college? Pretty complicated stuff, but all that is what we call “science” and all of it exists and is working inside your body. If you are having a problem, then there should be a scientific reason as to why. Functional Medicine helps identify the “why” of your symptoms by using science AND it uses science to help improve your symptoms. It is super frustrating to have a health or medical issue and get bounced around to different doctors and never get a good indication of what your problem actually is, much less what can be done about it.
